Yes, children are able to access services from both the NHS and private sector. Your entitlement to NHS therapy is not compromised by accessing private therapy. We ensure that we work together with your NHS therapist to ensure the best outcomes for your child. We will always ask your permission before liaising with your NHS therapist.
Parents and carers are always offered the opportunity to attend therapy sessions. However, we understand that this is not always possible so an email will always be sent following the session detailing what happened in the session and practice for you to complete with your child over the week.
We operate a 24 hour cancellation policy. Appointments need to be cancelled at least 24 hours before the session or they will be charged in full.
Therapy sessions are either 45 or 60 minutes. The duration depends on a number of factors, including the type of therapy and age of the child.
The number of sessions that your child will need will depend on the type and severity of their difficulty. Therapy is typically offered in blocks of 6-8 sessions, and will be reviewed at the end of the block, with recommendations given.
